About the Program
The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Residency Program is a full-time, post graduate program designed to ensure residents are fully prepared for primary care in a community health environment. This program supports the needs of the residents who are committed to developing their careers as primary care providers through training and on the job experience.
CHC FNP Residents will work at CHC’s main location in Mashpee and rotate to other CHC locations to support training and increase access for those in need. FNP residents will receive didactic lectures incorporated into clinical practice and receive support and guidance from their preceptor(s) to prepare them to provide autonomous, high quality care for populations with complex clinical needs across all life cycles. FNP residents will also improve their clinical skills, confidence, productivity and job satisfaction, as well as contribute to the health center’s mission and goals for workforce retention and well being. Participation in the Residency Program includes a full-time paid position with a comprehensive benefits package, and housing is available.

Benefits
CHC FNP Residents have access to all of the benefits afforded to regular employees – including health insurance, disability, dental and vision insurance. CHC also pays for professional liability insurance for all residents. Resident and fellow salaries are closely benchmarked to national and regional standards, as described by the AAMC. Residents may also access housing at one of CHC’s locations.

Wellness
Well-being can be a challenge during the rigors of post-graduate training. CHC believes it is very important to take care of yourself, physically and mentally, so that residents can participate in your education and patient care. CHC and its Residency Program are committed to the well-being of our employees, residents and fellows. CHC partners with local fitness businesses for the health of our staff/residents for discounted pricing, maintains a robust Employee Assistance Program with 24-hour access, 7 days a week for emotional well-being, healthy lifestyles, legal/financial matters, and other various resources. The residency also includes various group outings to provide for time away from the office to foster relationships and enhance morale.
